California Hub and Spoke System Integration
Peer Support Specialists bring lived experience, hope, and recovery expertise to interdisciplinary teams serving individuals impacted by substance use disorders. As Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists (CMPSS) become increasingly integrated into healthcare, behavioral health, and recovery settings, their role continues to expand in helping individuals navigate recovery pathways, build self-determination, and strengthen community connection.
This quarter’s California Hub and Spoke Learning Collaborative will explore the unique role of peer support specialists within medication for addiction treatment (MAT) programs and ways Hub and Spoke programs integrate peers into their MAT teams. Small group discussion will focus on action planning for continued integration of peers into MOUD programs. Learners will also review Quality Improvement data and possible change projects for one site.
Note: This event is only for California Hub and Spoke sub-contractors. Sub-contractors will receive registration details for their specific region closer to the event date. You can also email Martha Carreon to request a registration link for your site.
