Building Bridges: Expanding Access to Care Through Emergency Department Connections

In continued efforts to expand medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), CA Bridge has successfully trained nearly 300 hospital Emergency Departments (ED) to provide medications for addiction treatment and make referrals to ongoing treatment in the community. Hub and Spoke grantees have been integral in providing that follow up care. Bridge is also working to expand low-barrier, same-day substance use disorder (SUD) treatment beyond the emergency department and building a new universal access crisis response SUD network designed to reduce overdose deaths in the era of fentanyl. In this quarterly regional learning collaborative, participants will learn about the model, current efforts, and how to get involved in expanding timely, life-saving addiction care across California.

*Note: This event is only for California Hub and Spoke sub-contractors. Sub-contractors will receive registration details for their specific region closer to the event date.
