This webinar will share information and clinical tools about inheriting patients on opioid therapy, ensuring continuity of care, and utilizing buprenorphine.
Due to recent closures of 29 LAGS pain management clinics in California, up to 20,000 patients receiving pain management will be seeking alternative care. Some of these patients may be on long-term opioid therapy for chronic pain, a serious challenge for nearby providers. If you have received patient transfer requests or are otherwise affected by these closures, please join CIAO (the Center for Innovation in Academic Detailing on Opioids), Wednesday, June 23, from 12pm-1pm PST for information and clinical tools about inheriting patients on opioid therapy, ensuring continuity of care, and utilizing buprenorphine. Affected providers can also register for a one-on-one informational session with CIAO’s clinician trainers to discuss these topics at https://www.ciaosf.org/contact-us.
We hope you can join us for this timely webinar! Please forward this announcement to other health networks and providers. This webinar will be recorded and housed on CIAO’s website.
CIAO, located in the San Francisco Department of Public Health, develops materials for academic detailing on opioid management and collaborates with partners in training and supporting detailing initiatives. CIAO has been serving California since 2016 with CDC funding, and we recently expanded to provided services nationally. Learn more about CIAO at www.ciaosf.org or contact us at ciao.sf@sfdph.org.
