Youth Opioid Response
This project provides funding to organizations to implement and expand medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and opioid use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery services to youth and their family members.

Since 2018:

Hub and Spoke System
The Hub and Spoke System aims to increase access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services throughout the state, particularly in counties with the highest overdose rates. The system consists of narcotic treatment programs, which are referred to as “Hubs” and serve as experts in treating opioid use disorder, as well as office-based treatment settings, which are referred to as “Spokes” and provide ongoing care and maintenance treatment and referrals to other essential support services.

CA Bridge
This project supports hospital emergency departments in California to become 24/7 access points for the treatment of substance use disorders through three core elements: rapid access to low-barrier treatment, navigation to ongoing care, and a culture of harm reduction.

Low-Barrier Opioid Treatment at Syringe Service Programs
This project supports the integration of low-barrier opioid treatment services into existing syringe service programs (SSPs) to increase the availability of opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment services and engage more SSP participants in treatment. Since 2020:
